Committee member Venn Davies accepts (socially distanced) a cheque from Mrs Rosalie Lowe.
Mrs Lowe said, ‘I have supported the Telford Tree of Light since it’s inception 25 years ago. In October this year I lost my wonderful husband, Roy. My family and I decided that the collection at his funeral should be in aid of the Tree of Light. I think it’s a wonderful organisation and I am pleased to donate this money to help the charities chosen this year’.
Frank Curry the Chairman of the Organising Committee said ‘We extend our condolences to Mrs Lowe on the loss of her husband and thank her for her support for 25 years. We thank her too for donating the money collected at the funeral. A most generous gesture.
