The Season's Greetings to you

The 2008 Tree of Light chairman Paul Booth with the Bishop of LichfieldChristmas is a time for families, for remembering, for celebrating and for giving; it is at times such as this that the loss of a loved one can be most keenly felt. So again this year you can sponsor a light on our 'tree' in the Telford Shopping Centre, in memory of a loved one, or a cause which is dear to you.

The name and the symbolism of the Tree of Light are reminders that there is light and hope in the bleakest circumstances and the Tree of Light enables sponsors to grieve in a positive way and at the same time to help worthwhile needy causes which support others who are in need.

As well as being displayed on this website, the names of loved-ones and causes are published in the Telford Journal newspaper - which is distributed free to all homes in the Telford and Wrekin area - and displayed around the tree in Telford Town Centre, in Wellington Market, and this year for the first time, in Oakengates and Dawley. You will also receive an acknowledgement Christmas card.

PLEASE NOTE: Applications received now will not be displayed around the Tree of Light until after Christmas.
